-I clean/descale my coffee machine once a month with a mixture of water & 1 tsp of citric acid. Citric acid is inexpensive & does a really good job of descaling. It’s the ingredient used in commercial coffee machine descaling cleaners. Run plain water thru the machine after the descaling to clear it out.
